Hello Forum,

I am doing some testing on a ceiling rose. I am using a ‘Fluke T50’ tester. When the circuit is live the arrowed L.E.D. lights up, buzzes and the voltage is displayed. When the circuit is isolated at the consumer unit, i.e. m.c.b. turned off and I touch the red (+) probe to the line conductor the arrowed L.E.D. lights up and buzzes. Why does it do this and what does it tell me? Buzzing and illuminating indicates to me that power is in the system even though I know it's dead.

Please describe what is happening as I am rather confused. :sunny:
