Hi there, I’ve been asked to do a homer by someone I know and just wondering best way! They have a shed no more than 10m away from house and want a feed to it. I was thinking spurring of the house ring with a 13a swfuse spur to a jb on the outside wall then a SWA to a 20A DP switch inside the shed?

What’s your competence level? There’s nothing on your profile.

no mention of rcd in your op. Any work on a socket circuit will need one.
what’s the d.p switch for?
likely load in the shed?

SWA Radial straight into a socket, Then to a sw/fuse at 3A for a light??

Apprentice mate. It was just for a little clarity sorry I didn’t explain well. The shed will only have a couple sockets and a light. Would a RCD spur inside be suitable? The 20A DP switch was for means of isolation in the shed.

There may already be an rcd protecting the circuit.
I would go with isolation in the house, so if there’s a fault with the outgoing cable, it can be worked on without turning the house sockets off.

make sure anything open to elements is weatherproof.

lights could come off a plug top rather than a sw/fuse as long as it’s fused down.

Okay cool mate, thanks for the help appreciate it. Cheers
