Hi, newbie here, I'm currently doing my level 3.

Is the following set up ok -?

Outside lamp set up to come on with a PIR, but also want to over ride with a switch.

Just not sure if it's ok to have the switched live from the switch 'livening up' the switched live side of the electronic switch in the PIR when the PIR isn't active ,if that makes sense?

Whether it's safe to do so depends largely on the type of switching element provided by the PIR.

Most of them use relays, in which case this sort of thing is common practice.

Manufacters instructions prevail. But as said it will work.
