just wondering if anyone else is having an issue with obtaining a delivery date from test-meter.co.uk. i have ordered a new megger mft1700 series from them but when i try to call, the phone just rings out and i dont get a reply to my emails. at the minute i am having to rent another meter from an electrician pal of mine which is extra costs i can ill afford as my meter hasnt been delivered yet. its been 2 weeks now, funds have cleared but nothing..........
any thoughts?

A nice phone call would be good of them though even if they are struggling to get them.

Never had a problem with them. There is a guy on here from them, called Test-Meter why not PM him to find out what is happening?

Not sure if he means hes only been ringing this weekend or the past 2 weeks....He hasn't said. you are right if its only been past 2 days they won't answer. But alot of the wholesalers are open in my area today so an on-line site should have no ploblems checking e-mails and responding

i sent an email about a week ago and rang a couple of times over the last 3-4 days, i dont know whether they are a big company you see so whether they have someone manning a phone all the time i couldnt say, a reply to my email would be good though haha cheers for the replys guys.

as pushrod said i would send him a pm mate. i seem to remember reading that megger were sending them out on a first ordered first sent out basis.

i purchased my megger meter from them. it took a while to come through but at the time I was not in a hurry. When phones messages and emails are not answered it is never a good sign. What happens if you have a warranty problem? how long will it take to get a response.
Companies should return calls within 2-3 days at the latest especcially if you have made a purchase and not recieved your goods.

I called em two days ago and answered straight away. ! was very helpful, and said they had a back log of around 50 i think or might of been 15 ( obviously a difference) but still they were on it and megger were coming up with the goods real soon. he said to me then if i wanted one i would be looking at 10 days to 2 weeks.
and yeah he was cool mate real helpful...

that was number on site.

Test Meter has been on in the past advising of the problems they (and other wholesalers ) are having as Megger having problems with delivery
personaly I wouldnt be parting with £700ish online without phoning and confirming 1 order had been received 2 availability 3 delivery times (remember DSR quote 28 days as resonable times
If you NEED na item even £5 worth relying on online purchase doesnt realy work

There seems to be a supply issue on the new meggers... Megger are claiming "Demand far in excess of that anticipated" but according to a (national) wholesaler I was talking to Friday Megger have plenty of stock but are holding it back.
