just wondering if anyone else is having an issue with obtaining a delivery date from test-meter.co.uk. i have ordered a new megger mft1700 series from them but when i try to call, the phone just rings out and i dont get a reply to my emails. at the minute i am having to rent another meter from an electrician pal of mine which is extra costs i can ill afford as my meter hasnt been delivered yet. its been 2 weeks now, funds have cleared but nothing..........
any thoughts?
cheers

Megger are not the only supplier test-meter.co.uk are have trouble with, Martindale are also in the dock over failure to supply Drummond MTL10 and MTL20 test lamps despite them being in the Martindale catalogue for over 6 months.

Bought a Megger PAT tester off them a month ago and they had delivery problems from Megger then. Apart from that I have always had good service from them. They have always answered phone promptly and dealt with queries well.

After coming in well rested from a few days off during Easter I was obviously slightly surprised and shocked to see this 3-page thread regarding the company and of course the Megger issue. We did receive an e-mail from a customer who mentioned that he was waiting for his Megger tester and had not been able to get through on the phone. The phone issue must have been because of the Easter break where we did close which also includes not reading e-mails or answering phone calls. The e-mail was responded to early this morning.

This issues we (and many other companies) have experienced these last few months have literally been a nigthmare, as we appreciate it must have been to the people waiting and still waiting for the new Megger MFT's. We have tried to upate the forum on whatever news we have had at that time and have previously mentioned that anyone was welcome to call us for whatever update that we might have.
A letter of notification was issued by Megger 1-2 weeks ago which was forwarded to everyone waiting.

As a general rule we will try our best to respond to e-mail as soon as we can but we are normally closed during weekends and Bank Holidays. For all orders received we do try and get goods out for a next day delivery provided that the goods are in stock. If anyone would like to confirm delivery time and availability before ordering we completely understand and we will give an honest lead time even if this means losing the order.

If anyone has dealt with us I would like to think that they haven't been given the impression that we are a faceless company or that we do not care or understand our customers. We have a person working full time with repairs and general customer service and we try to help out as much as we can if anyone experiences problems or faults with their testers.

Hopefully this clears up some of the concerns mentioned within this thread and prodding people entering or leaving the building with 500V might hopefully not prove necessary.

If anyone has any other questions regarding their Megger order (or any other orders) please let us know or call us: 0113 248 9966

I can confirm this as being true as when trying to buy a martindale voltage tester some months back i was told that they were having real problems getting supplies and that if i could find someone who actually had it on their shelf then that was probably my most sensible option. A refreshingly honest and straightforward answer and for that reason i will continue to use them.

As an aside, I did end up buying one from another company and unfortunately it did indeed look like it had spent several months on a shelf:(

That's great customer service response by TM. Well done and I am all for supporting SME's as long as they take customer service seriously and are visible when needed.
