I currently work for a large electrical contracting company but want to start working on my own. I have seen that people have been workng on jobs then getting the LABC in to provide the part P certifcate. What Im wondering is where do you get the test sheets from and will my company find out that Im working on private jobs while still employed by them?

Oh and I have my C & G 2391 but not my 17th edition, is this a problem? Thanks guys

Any wholesaler will have the test sheets you would need. Involving building control is expensive to the point that its not worth doing the job. You would need the 17th within 12 months of going part p registered.

As for your employers check your employment contract if they find out you could be sacked.

Hope that helps

Chris
