Or engraving. This has been in HA specs for many years also where it is not obvious what the point of isolation does.

Since it was done by a professional there should be a certificate somewhere. Have you asked for one as a condition of sale?. If that was self certified it must be a whopper!.

It's my first time properly looking at an install with some knowledge and being a picky got, I have no doubt that there will be worse out there

Most brands do compact rcbos now, with no functional earth. Bg is ok for a budget, but I would rather use hager or wylex. They look a bit more professional imo
