This is a table giving you an accurate means of identifying when the armouring of SWA cables will and will not comply with BS7671 requirements. As you can see, the required CSA of SWA cables only becomes suspect at cable sizes over 95mm/2core.....

These day's most SWA cables comes with thermosetting insulation (XLPE) as standard. The thermal plastic table, is still handy when assessing or dealing with older cable installations....

Make a copy of this table and you'll never have to ask again, ....If you can use the Steel Wire Armouring as your CPC!! lol!!
PLEASE NOTE.... this table does ''NOT'' relate to equivalent BONDING CSA compliance!!!
