Went to sign up but stopped short at the stage where they asked me to fork over £350 quid for the basic package.
Has anyone used them? A guy rang me (to see why i'd not completed the sign-up) giving me the hard sell and if they do half what they say they do it may be good value.
I'm just not sure if they will do what they say they will
Any experience?

Cheers

So they'll accept half the fee until the system works for you? Thought not!

I'm sick of these vultures with their new schemes promising the earth and delivering a pittance, the problem is, your hard earned cash is gone by the time you can judge whether the scheme works for you or not.

Any decent, proven scheme should be able to offer say a month free trial to allow us to decide it's merits!

All this "internet marketing" seems to have adopted the scam that was doing the rounds years back, where folk phoned up and promised to sell your car for you for only "£100" or whatever.

Everyone here could improve their Google rankings a little simply by hacking a page together with everyone else on the forum's website on it.

As I understand it, and I'm not at all sure I do (Dan????) - good Google rankings these days come down to good keywords which are relevant to your site, good copy on your site (i.e. what they call "optimised") - which I think is SEO speak for repeat things in different ways a lot, and make use of Headers, titles, and so forth, and finally, work to build links between your site and others - what they term external links.

One thing I have noticed, is that there's a few "pay on results" SEO companies out there.....anyone used one?

Never heard of them before. Sounds like all the other pay us some cash and we'll get you work crowds.

Of topic a little, does anyone know if you can cancel a Yell.com package before the 1st year is up?

Hi

Just thought that I would explain the situation with Tradealink. This is a legitimate company. We created the company in 2009 and spent a good 12 - 18 months developing the website. We linked to some fairly large organisations to help launch and arranged a potential link to the Trading Standards 'Buy with Confidence' scheme. Although the website was set up to charge for the service - which by the way will be exceptionally good value once we go live - we never actually charged a penny to any of our clients/participants. This was an early stage beta version and we are relaunching the service later in the year.
I would like to apologise if anybody was given a 'hard sell' - this was out of our hands and the person in question now works elsewhere.
Tradealink will be a bona fide support mechanism for Traders. If you have any queries or wish to take a free membership once we relaunch please mail me directly at [email protected]. Very best regards Marc Carey - Director Tradealink Ltd
