Has anyone any knowledge of the type of responses required for the validation of a design against the requirements of BS EN60204-1? Is it acceptable to list simply "Yes" or "No" answers or should there be a narrative as to how each requirement is deemed to have been met?

Thanks to anyone that replies

That's rather a specialised subject, and not done by typical electricians, but more by manufacturers.
I should think that any equipment to that Standard would need to be type tested to ensure compliance.

Or do you mean ticking boxes saying the equipment you have bought and supplied is to that standard?
If so, you have the instructions etc for the equipment, then give those to the customer to ensure your compliance.

Are you asking for CE purposes?

What we do for EN60204 is have a check sheet with all the main items that are relevant to our product, that we tick off and add comments if necessary.

Don't think you can just give a 'Yes' to say that you comply with EN60204.
