Hi merry christmas : zanussi hob Zee6942fxb 5.5kw customer bought as a plugin asked if I would install looking through the Installation book did not say one or other being told this she purchased 2.5 TE heat resistant cable and 13amp plug to start cable to large for plug so looking for the safe way to fit this thinking it should be hardwired ? the booklet does say current rating 13A as I Been out of mainstream Electrics for little time just wanted to know. This is an old house with Wylex fuse the circuit from the cooker switch is on 30amp fuse is ok to connect to this circuit has a cooker already connected, kw not known as have to dismantle as built in thinking of doing this and upping to 32amp fuse and cable size pleased for input thanks.

if it did not come with a fitrted flex and plug, then it must be hard wired. 32A fuse/MCB and 4mm or 6mm cable. RCD protection should be considred.

Struggling to make sense of the question, but are you asking if a 5.5kW hob can be wired to a 13A plug?

I had a quick look at the manual - it’s just got generic advice saying “connect with plug if applicable” or some such. For this hob (which will likely draw over 20A) a 13A plug would not be applicable, just saying.
