Hi guys been asked to put a radial in for spurs for a fire alarm panel supply is it okay to use red FP200 to carry 230v? If so or not could you tell me where I find this information in the regs ? Thanks

See Appendix 1 of BS7671.
Look for BS7629-1:2015 in the Table.

Fire Alarm isolator switch has to be cabled in FP200 and connected directly into own RCD at distribution/consumer unit

It doesn't have to be FP200 I could use MICC if need be and rcd protection I would be avoiding for such a circuit conditions permitting.

I have taken this up with the people who make FP200 and it is rated for 230v AC apparently. I have seen a C2 for non fire rated cable supplying fire alarm panels. A new one for Codebreakers I'd imagine.

I don’t know where the idea it isn’t 230v rated comes from. I’ve connected so many like this, usually in trunking or clipped direct to avoid need for RCD.
(A shared RCD is the thing to avoid at all costs)
I’ve got a MICC job next week and it’s sad that I’m really looking forward to it!

What is it you are doing.

That brings back some memories, this was one of the practical assessments we had to do at college, using the MICC through jointing kit.
