guys a quick but of help.... wiring a newly built porch.... taken power for socket and lighting from an existing socket on ground floor and added a spur 13A from which power goes to a double socket and then to a ceiling light then from there to the light switch... would this work?

Why not start a new thread instead of using this one?
Fuse down the lights below 10A. I assume you are using 3 plate for lighting because the switch after the light is a bit pointless otherwise! Test and certify the work correctly and you will know if it will work.
