They seem to have combined system within the CU E/N block at the top? then seperated after switch??

circuits are White - N
Red - L
Green - CPC

Supply L and N black (CPC created by strapping Neutral to earth block at top)

I thought neutral was looped to another board maybe? The main switch don't make any sense. I think it is a DP breaker looks like a C63

Those aren't RCBOs are they? Where's the RCD protection?
It doesn't comply with BS7671 and judging by the way half of it isn't connected it won't even work.

Its double pole it says N on back of box thus it must isolate a neutral bar where all white cables go, the L obviously is a plug on busbar rail.

Plug on busbar rail? Bloody hell Schneider have gone all starbreaker. Interesting that the cables will go in bottom of PD's. Would give you a bit more room in board.

As has already been mentioned its Schneider board but our version uses their other trade name Square D, these boards are standard square D range over here - the ones which just push fit into busbar (white mcbs overhere).

The only bit that may confuse you except colour coding is the fact the board is TNCS (Earth/N strapped together on earth bar) where as our TNCS is done within the service cutout.

Never fitted square d. Plenty of merlin. Wouldn't you agree that the main switch looks like a double pole circuit breaker?

as i said before the supply is a mere 5 amps its taken from the posts along the road
he is fitting a 4500 watt water heater
the sparky said yes
anyway i hope this thread is a bit of a laugh to all and www.teakdoor.com is interesting

some of the electrics are absolutly terrible but this one is really tidy, and even has earthing
if u look back a bit on the teakdoor thread you will see a few pics of the terrible wiring in multi million bhat houses
lots of people inc tourists get electrocuted there
