Advice on Level 2 2365 exam preparation

Hello,

So this year I decided to enrol in a Level 2 Electrical Course. The course is going well, some bits I am struggling with, but I think that is part of the learning process. As with anything, it's a bit daunting.

Would anyone be able to give me some advice on exam preparation? I think its trying to remember the formulas and finding a way to get them to stick. I have started to do past papers, but if anyone has any advice on ways to remember formulas that would be a great help.

They have given us formula sheets, mainly triangles. I am okay with them. It's mainly the Power Calculations and Star and Delta formulas.

I'm terrible at maths but I kept going over all the formulas (or other subjects) that I was told would be in the tests, a fairly intense week of study before any of the tests seemed to guarantee a distinction.

Lunch times spent with a quick sandwich and the rest of the time in the college library scanning my way through the Moodle notes.

The college have (to my knowledge) introduced star and delta formulas for both level 2 and 3, whilst doing my training they had dropped electronics such as resistor band colours etc and replaced with star/delta and transformers; for some reason or other I found level 2 to be more formula intensive of a wide range than level 3, I think this was to do with level 3 really scoping in closer on power factors and the like.

The most useful thing to learn and remember for my class was certainly Pythagoras theorem, I can't stress how often this came into every lesson when dealing with science principles for power factor, leading and lagging triangles (parallel).

They have included Star and Delta Configurations for 3 phase systems. I know they mentioned Pythagoras theorem, which will be introduced at Level 3.

I am enjoying the course though, so I will see how my exam goes, and then we have a H&S unit to complete and our practical assignments.

I am then hoping to move onto Level 3, with the hope of finding somework, and a possible change in career.
