Just checking if this mains/rechargable unit can be used without the audio link module as
my CEF catalogue does not make it clear.I just want to link 2 smokes with the wireless base to keep
the cost down.

the 3000 series is compatible with all other aico alarms

Audiolink is related to data extraction and is standard on the entire 3000 series range. It is not an additional option.

Smartlink is wireless interconnect for 3000 series and is an additional option.

If you want to interconnect wirelessly, then you need to install the latter. If you want to save money on materials, then the cheaper option is hardwired interconnection.
