Hi all,

I have my AM2 on Monday and I am just after some last minute tips and advice. I also have a few questions I could do with answering.

1. When testing PFC on a 3 phase board, is it nessecery to double the reading between Phase-Neutral to gain the Phase-Phase reading? and why?

2. When are you allowed to refer to your own notes if at all?

3. When working out the overcurrent for the motor, are you given the p.f and/or Vl?

4. Is the examiner constantly watching you? (I feel more pressured when being watched all the time!)

Any more feedback from recent or previous AM2 exams would be appreciated! I have attended the preperation day but just want to put these little queries to rest.

Thank you all!

:rolleyes4:

1. yes because the current line to line (not phase any more) will be √3 times the line to neutral current this can be approximated to multiplying by two.
2. you will have the regulations books, not your notes
3. Do not know
4. He should be, but practically he may be looking away at times, he is there to assess you!

Theres the formula pal
