Anyone used a sales rep?

Im researching into ways of gaining new contacts and am thinking of giving a sales rep ago.

Has anyone ever used/using a sales rep to encourage business?? if so did it work? how long did you use them for? and how much did it cost you?

Im wanting to aim my services towards letting agencies and insurance companies I already have a portfolio and introduction booklet have you used a sales rep then?

no , as word of mouth gets you the work, everyone knows an electrician or yellow pages, just drop your booklet anywhere and everywhere, some say can take upto two years or more to get a full buisness going.

also on insurance sites there is somewhere you can register for there work, somone will know exactly where and how you get on there lists
