Discuss Armoured cable depth in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Could I suggest trunking ? How many likes will I get for this ?

Not as many as if you'd suggested ducting.

There are a few good reasons for putting underground cables in ducting: Less likely to damage cable if hit by a spade. Less likelihood of cable damage due to stony backfill. Easy to add or change cables in the future. Cable can be pulled in after groundworks have finished so less chance of damage by other trades.
