Thought I'd better say hello as I'm new to this.
ive been a sparky for 30 yrs doing all sorts of installation from industrial to domestic.
i have had a half decent firm in the past employing 6-8 lads but got fed up with all the BS that comes with it so am now on my own taking the easy life doing domestic only.
looking forward to some interesting topics and if anybody can give me hints on the bet way to use this forum including pitfalls it would be much appreciated.
thanks guys
ps I can't spell for toffee

Welcome to the forum.

Seems like you are making a good start so far.
To start with if you are unsure on forums in general try reading the FAQ section.
On this forum always try the search bar if you have a question as it may already have been answered, but watch the date of posts because they may be very old.

I don't think this will be a problem for you, but do not ask very basic questions without thinking about them first and seeing how it looks to other sparks.
You need to have a thick skin as some responses may appear a bit abrupt!
Provide enough information in questions to allow people to answer,
eg. saying I have a 100A supply, what size cable should I use for my new circuit?
this would be considered very basic and also not have enough information for anyone to answer, supply as much of the story as possible.

Hope you find the forum good.
