Just came to finish off my last job of the day and infact year, nothing major just fix up a nice new cooker ready for Christmas. Not exactly how it went!

Was told plumber who disconnected old has cooker had a belt off the has pipe, measured at 140V! Currently sitting in the van waiting for DNO to turn up as some idiot has had a bash at making there own TN-S system which has gone horribly wrong!

Just about sums up my week really, it's not been an easy one to say the least!

So much for a merry Christmas....

don't complain. it's jobs like that that sort the men from the boys, or the sparks from the Electrical Trainee's. wouldn't it be boring if all work entailed poking T/E through holes.

so what happened then? you get thrown out?

Well....I was meant to have a done a simple little wind-down job this morning, then gone out on the lash with a customer/friend and a plumber mate of mine. Sadly, Mr 24hr bug had other ideas and I spent most of the day in bed instead, and am now sat here wondering if I can brave a cup of tea.

tea???? be a man and get some single malt down your neck. kills 99% of all known maladies.

So what's the result of 2 x 99%? It'll hit them going down and then back up again.....

Ironically, back in my canoeing days that's EXACTLY what I used to do when I came out of the water to kill anything I'd ingested - always worked a treat!

But...not tonight.
