Hi,

I have problem with my drill. I thought it is brushes again as it was a while ago. This time I have ordered brushes and tried to change by myself. The brushes was just half used and ! half of the motor rotor was used as well. Now I`m wondering, where can I buy the rotor? And where can I find right part number?

Regards

Looks like last time guy from Toucan Tools used non-original brushes (I`m not even sure that I bought original ones from eBay). Therefore they was too hard and damaged rotor. For example I can attach a picture. If you want I can take actual photo later on.

What is the Bosch 10 character part number on the ratings label (eg. TYP: 0 601 362 576) and/or the product code (eg. GBH 36 V-LI) of your drill mate?

sounds like the comm. has been worn down by using incorrect grade of carbon brushes. try google bosch website and look for a local distributor/service agent. if the comm is not too badly damaged, it may be possible to get it skimmed.

The Toucan Tools is big seller of tools and they do guarantee repairs of all cordless tools. I thought they know what they are doing.
The rotor damaged too badly and needs replacing. How can I know what grade of carbon brushes should I use and where it is stated?

They are registered Bosch System Specialists this guarantees the supply or use of genuine parts and repair to Bosch original specification.
The parts you say are worn and need replacing are:
1 617 014 142 Carbon-Brush Set 1 £ 4,85
1 617 000 473 Armature With Fan 1 £ 68,80

I would return the tool to them for analysis, repair and any warranty claim. If you registered your tool within 4 weeks of purchase it will have 3 years Bosch warranty.

Where did you get this prices? They charged me £10 for brushes.
Also, I think they can deny that it is their fault as I can change brushes by myself and use non-original parts as there are no sealed screws.
My drill is more than 3 years old, so, no chance to do warranty repair. Moreover, worn brushes is not covered by warranty.

Thank you, I can check them later.

The prices I quoted are the current recommended retail exVAT prices for Bosch genuine parts, these prices should be available from all Bosch agents and may be discounted for trade account customers.
