Hi there, I have two isolation switches above a kitchen workcounter. They currently turn off the power to a pair of unswitched sockets which are hidden in a cupboard. They were previously used for a integrated washing machine and tumble drier we had plugged in, which we removed. As the plug is no longer of use, I'd prefer to convert the isolation switches above the worktop into a plug which can serve a worktop appliance such as our coffee machine.

Is it possible to convert the isolation switch into a plug? The fuse on the far right is for our boiler and would not be touched. Thanks16736959625692481939995060837984.jpg

Yes. It will be possible.

Likely on the same circuit as the sockets in the kitchen, unless it’s on its own dedicated radial circuit.

Either way, it’s suitable to be changed to a single socket.

Hi thanks for confirming, I'll look into how and consult a local electrician to do the work now I know it can be done. Thanks again
