whats the way to go with a sub 3kw oven with plug supplied fitted?
the stove is gas so theres a plug for that too, will be connecting to the kitchen ring main in 2.5mm T+E

spur off the ring with a CCU above the worktop to unswitched double socket

spur off the ring with 13amp FCU above the worktop to unswitched double socket

no isolation switch just switch double socket (current installation)

If the oven has a 13A plug fitted already then a good quality 13A socket is fine.

If the existing sockets that are planned for the oven use are not accessible with the oven in place then it would be much better to put in an accessible isolation switch. For example a 20A isolation switch spured off the ring above the worktop and then a single unswitched 13A socket for the oven. Suitably labelled!

Also it is a REALLY GOOD idea to have some means to test the socket before use. You get cheap socket testers but they won't detect a poor earth connection (some would pass wet string) but the better ones such as this do a better loop impedance check:

You might find them cheaper/easier to get from Toolstation or Screwfix, etc
