I have a couple of lights on a 3-way circuit and I want to rewire them with motion sensor outlets and have them in parallel. This way, if either sensor activates, the light will be on.
I am seeking guidance on the right way to do this. I have read a bit on 3-way wiring and it looks like there are 2 black wires coming into the outlet (through the common) and I think that would get disconnected.
1. Is there a good way to keep the wires straight so that I don't make a mistake?
2. I think two wires will need to go on one of the switch terminals. Will there be room? The terminals on the switches seem a bit tight.
3. Is this conforming to any kind of NEC specification, to wire this way?
4. Is there a sensible alternative?

- TL;DR
- convert 3-wire to parallel
