Hi
I've been looking at a drawing of an installation. It says it's a 4 way 32A HRC fuse distribution board. Way one is a three phase load and has 40A fuses on each of the phases. The second way has 3 single phase circuits fused at 16A Each, the others are spare. Is it me missing something or can this be done at way 1?

Thanks

not sure what you are asking.

you seem to have a 4 way 3 phase board.

1st 3 phase way is used. 2nd way is 3 x single phase loads. 3rd and 4th way are spare so can be used for additional circuits.

I was a little confused as the first way has 40A fuses but it is supposed to be a 32A board ?

Thanks

what's the rating of the main switch in the board?

so it's a 200A board then. that makes more sense.

If the fuse carrier is rated at 32A it should not have 40A fuses fitted.

Presumably it is a board like this one, in which case no you can't put 40A fuses in a 32A way!

You will get a 40A to fit them Dave, tested an Exel board a few weeks back that had 40s in 32A holders.

Got a little more info and believe this is the whole picture. The 200A isol mention above is fed from a 63A fuse switch from a main switchboard.

Thanks

I have no idea what you needed to know in the first place.

I was just thought it was strange that a 40A fuse had been used in a 4 way 32A board. Still don't think it's right.

Thanks

Well it is not if the carrier states 32A and 40A fuses are fitted.
