Hello forum. I am new here and seeking some expert advice.

I am trying to make some DIY led light strips that will be controlled via DMX.

The lights are these: 20/30/100 LED Battery Micro Rice Wire Copper Fairy String Lights Party white/rgb | eBay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/20-30-100-LED-Battery-Micro-Rice-Wire-Copper-Fairy-String-Lights-Party-white-rgb/223167793221?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=521974824338&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

and the dmx controller is: DC 12V-24V 3 Channel DMX Decoder LED Controller for RGB 5050 3528 LED Strip 3x8A | eBay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-12V-24V-3-Channel-DMX-Decoder-LED-Controller-for-RGB-5050-3528-LED-Strip-3x8A/142430239461?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I use a 12volt adapter with 2 amp output, the dmx controller delivers 3x8a output with max 12-24 volt inn.

My led strip use 4 outputs on the dmx controller, one is com and 3 other outputs. I have put it in a small box I made and attached a 5 pin dmx plug from the box that the lights will be connected to in series. When the lights are connected my light controller board will have red on channel one, green on channel 2 and blue on channel 3. This worked fine with a 12 v 2amp DC power adaptor, but when I use another 12 v 2a adaptor I have the lights starts to pop one by one, I assume maybe the first 12v adapter might be 1 amp or atleast smaller than 2 amp since the lights are on without popping? I dont use any resistor between the outputs and the lights at the moment since it worked fine with my first 12v adaptor, I guess I would have to calculate a resistor value to use for the other 12v adaptor?

I use around 250 led diodes in series total for each dmx controller.

I also encountered another problem. My idea was to purchase lots of 5 pins DMX cables in between each light, but for some reason 5 pin dmx cables only consist of 3 conductors. (No idea why not all proffesional lights then use 3 pin dmx? :P )
Since my lights require 4 conductors, is there then some way to use one less output on the dmx controller and still have the lights show R, G and B by themselves? Or will i have to suck it up and make my own 5 pin dmx cables with atleast 4 conductors?

I will attach some pictures, all help are highly appreciated. Thanks :) :D

Looking at the picture on eBay, you have removed the battery box?
If the box had space for 3 batteries like the eBay item shown then the led lights you have are suitable for 4.5 volt supply.
They are popping due to overvoltage

But then its weird one of my 12 volt adapters can manage without them popping, but another 12v makes them pop?

I have removed the battery pack yes, there is 100 leds on one battery pack, i will use them in series with total of 250 leds per controller, will that make it, 4,5v x 2,5 = 11,25 volts?
