Hello,

I have been given an 80W Bard solar panel similar to the one in the link. (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BSUL6JK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

I am looking to install on my shed as I cannot provide a mains supply. I have 2x 9Ah 12V batteries and have a small consumer unit etc..

Can anyone advise on which charge controller I should use and what rating? Also what size inverter? I amlooking to use mainly for lighting and one radial for some 13A sockets to powera charger or use of the odd power tool (drill).

Any advice is appreciated :)

Hi,

I don't know the first thing about solar panels, however, I can tell you that you will need a heck of a lot more panels that a single one for what you want to do.

I would probably say your best bet to use 12v for lights etc.
