Hi guys,

I have a blast chiller and there's a door switch I had to disconnect to remove the top panel. I tried to re-wire it but the fans won't engage in this format - can someone what the white and black wire should connect to out of the three pins? It is a three-pin switch but two wires only. I made the mistake of not taking a picture before I dismantled it.

The photo shows wires connected - but its not correct I think.

Thanks for any info in advance. Much appreciated

Its probably a switch with Common (C), Normally Open (N/O) and Normally Closed (N/C) contacts.
If the light is to come on when opening the door, you need to C & N/O contacts connected. Doesn't matter which colour goes to which.
If not marked, my guess would be terminal C on its own but otherwise you might need a meter to check.

Simple way to check if you have no meter.
Assuming that there is no change at all when door is opened or closed at the moment

Move black wire to empty terminal (left)

Fans / lights etc will either work correctly or it will act like the door is open when it is in fact closed, and vice versa.

If it is working the wrong way round, move the white wire from mid terminal to right hand terminal and all will be good.

CAUTION
Some chillers like that switch mains voltage through the door switch, ensure the power is off before doing any work.
Remember to put cover back over it when finished.

Thanks so much for this.

Unfortunately, when I was rewiring it a few weeks back, I felt the 230v go through me. I'm grateful for RCD and have opted to call a qualified electrician now after the Mrs had a massive go at me. At least I'll know if they're BS'ing me thanks to your feedback.

Really appreciate it.
