I joined the ELECSA Part P scheme about 14 months ago so I must be overdue for my annual assessment now, but as yet I have no date. I've phoned ELECSA a couple of times over the last couple of months but it seems that they are not ready to give me a date yet. I'm not particularly bothered, I just get a little concerned occasionally that I might have missed their letter and the inspector might just turn up at my door unexpectedly at an inconvenient moment, or when I'm out, and then they might try to charge me for a missed visit.
I was just wondering if this delay is normal, or maybe something to do with changes to Part P assessments, and how much notice I am likely to get before the visit. Also, how does the annual surveillance visit differ from the initial assessment, will it basically be a repeat of last year's visit? Be interested to hear from other ELECSA scheme members.
