extension?

I have this small pump but the cord is to short. was wondering if there is an extension I can add this this?

There probably is an extension you can buy but you need to find the pin diameter and outer diameter of the plug pictured as there are a number of different sizes

From here it looks like 2.5mm (pin) which is one of the most popular. The outer diameter is 5.5mm but generally they are just known as 2.5mm DC power plugs.

There is also 2.1mm pin with 5.5mm outer diameter (again just normally referred to as 2.1mm plugs) but the hole looks too big for 2.1.

DC barrel connectors have never been well thought out. Several times I've had to explain to people that just because the plug seems a good fit in the socket, doesn't necessarily mean the centre pin is making good contact!

And don't get me started with ones that are wired as negative centre!

Yes. This is something that bugs me almost daily. I've ended up buying power bricks just to get the right connector and throwing the brick away,. Usually I'm after the kind with a forked centre contact that grips the pin by itself. These are needed in sockets with a rosette outer contact, where there's no pressure against the pin to make contact inside the simple tube type of plug.

The OP's pump has a tube-type plug so the extension cable can have either type of plug, so long as the socket has the single sided outer spring contact that will grip the plug against the pin.

one way would be to cut cable and patch in an appropriate piece of cable, soldering the joints and heat shrink sleeving. but onlyif you have good soldering skills.
