Have an odd request. Customer wants a floodlight without sensor but a timer function so that when they turn the switch on it comes on and then turns off after a set time.

My first thought was a timer switch of some sorts. However, I was thinking if it was possible to install a standard floodlight with pir and disable the pir functionality? If so, would that be physically unwiring the pir or cover the sensor? Or can you set the sensitivity to the lowest setting and it wont activate?

No. The timer function is electronically part of the sensor, so that wouldn’t work.

you would need a standard floodlight, a momentary switch(one that doesn’t stay ON) and a separate timer unit In between.

These can be bought as a unit or there could be a way of using the timer from an extractor fan?

It could work if you left the PIR connected but either covered it over, turned the sensitivity down and/or angled it to somewhere it can’t activate. That’s based on some PIR floodlights coming on for a set time after power is first applied.

It’s not a good solution from a usability point of view though. You’ve no control over how long the light will be on for and you’d need to use a normal switch that is left on until the internal timer turns the light off.

As @littlespark said a normal floodlight, momentary switch and delay-off timer is probably the best way to go.
