Having worked as an approved electrician for 11 years I then had a career change to an electrical draughtsman, I have just been made redundant and if nothing is forth coming in the next couple of months I may consider going it alone as a domestic installation electrcian.
Are there any grants available for training (17th edition) and setting up whilst out of work.

p.s if anyone requires any (electrical) autocad/microstation drawings doing drop me a line

alright mate... you should go into your local job centre they will give you information on what schemes/grants etc are available for your area, because different areas have different systems...

also if you are on JSA, you will be entitled to Free part time courses at your local college, but again diff colleges have diif free courses..

good luck...
