Hi from Leeds!
I'm an interested hobbyist really....not qualified in any way....apart from an A-level in Physics from waaaaay back in 1975.
Re-wired the (then) marital home back in the 80's...and always took good advice from Pro's! :)
Hoping to get some ideas on why a 13 month old Hotpoint Combi oven (Yes....guaranteed for 12 full months...HaHa) might be tripping the MCB at the box. This doesn't appear to happen when Microwave is selected.....but seem to happen when Fan assisted oven has been running for 15 to 20 mins.

I'll also post in a relevant section of the forum
Ta!!

Most likely the element at the back, round the fan.

Especially if you use spray oven cleaner. The spray goes through the grill, lands on the fan and then drips on the element below.

Most oven cleaner is highly corrosive and it eats away at the element until it lets moisture in and then trips the rcd.

Thanks for getting back...that was quick!!
The oven is stainless steel inside...and as such has only been wiped....it's pretty clean!
Haven't used any spray cleaners....
If it was the element....can this be tested....or just look to replace it??

New element about £40

can be fitted your self if you are confident.
Call out someone to diagnose it is probably 2 x that cost

95% of the time it is an element, 60 to 70% it is that particular one.

your call

Right!!....so just to be clear...we're talking about the kettle 'type' element that is attached to the 'roof' of the oven?? (Not some other element....(almost typed elephant there)....Oh I DID type elephant!!)

No, on a fan oven, there is a circular element that is wrapped around the fan, take the back panel off (inside the oven) and you will see it
