NAPIT Certification Scheme Help with first napit inspection

Hi,
ive got my inspection soon and was unsure about some of the requirements.
What do i need for my waste disposal policy? My health & safety policy? What jobs best to show to the inspector? What happens on the onsite inspection? And any pointers?

Hi Wrighty, you would have received a check sheet from NAPIT, identifying what is required regarding paperwork & books etc [ I won't list them all but if not sure let me know]. Regarding Waste Disposal & Health & safety procedures [ these can be downloaded from the members section, as your registered you should be able to gain access, again let me know if you cant]. The Inspectors are fair & will need to know you are competent in you work. You will be asked general questions appertaining to the BRB & basic test procedures. After all the formalities he will ask to see a least 1 completed installation job & 1 just started / 1st fix job. Depends then if he's happy with these he may require to see further work. Don.t worry too much, if you are competent in what you know & do that is the main hurdle over, regards piccollo [also NAPIT]
