Measuring Ze on a metrel MI3100

Can anyone help me is it possible it take a Ze reading with this tester can get it to do Zs.

If you can get it to do Zs, how will it not do Ze?

It's the same test at a different point in the installation.

The only thing I can think of is a poor earth causing the meter to stop the test due to touch voltage?

Did you check the manual?

have you got the leads on the place. If you have the earth lead on the live source and the live lead on the distributors earth then the tester will buzz and not test due to the touch voltage like IQ says because the metalic button is energised. Like wise you get the same problems when doing IR tests this way due to false readings to earth through your body if you pressing the metalic test button
