Hopefully someone who has had previous experience can advise.

My MFT 1552 has not been calibrated in a while (as I only use it for fault basic finding in industrial sector)

However it has started playing up .... it is absolutely fine on voltage continuity etc .... but giving spurious readings on loop tests and not allowing me to perform any RCD testing.

is it worth a possible spend out on repair or just cut my losses and get my hand in my pocket

try "The Calibration Centre" at Stafford. they do a quote and repair service a lot cheaper than Megger.

I don't believe Megger repair 1500 series instruments anymore as they are no longer supported?

The selector switch in my 1553 started in playing up late last year. I had had it from new a decade ago. So just before Christmas I treated myself to the 1741.
