Hi
Anybody use "Niglon" make electrical gear? have come across this make when searching the web and seems cheap, just wondering of peoples experience of this make
thx

Bigfoots

I find it good. They make loads of stuff for other people. I use their RCBOs, as they are reasonably cheap, and havent had a problem ever.
Their central heating programmers and wireless stats are excellent.

Yeah can't fault it. Not very prolific but seems okay. Suspect its a rebrand though. Not sure. But seems okay.

its hard to say really as I have had examples of failure of many makes, and yes, Electrium had a big hoo-har, but at least they manned up about it and dealt with it.

and also I have used blatant Chinesey stuff, like "Chint" (clues in the name), and it was / still is good stuff. Not just MCBs and Rcds but Contactors too.

sorry wandered off, Niglon seems fine in my experience

Used there Rcbo's a few times really cheap, about 13.00 each if I recall never any problems

Had loads of problems some time back with their SWA glands. Poorly machined so that the SWA wasnt gripped with the thing tightened right down, and supplied with paper thin locknuts which stripped if you done then up beyond finger tight. C-rap. Also peed me off when they reduced the size of the label locking nut on their earth clamps making it nigh on impossible to get a tool on as it was smaller than the screw head, does make you wonder whether they actually try out the stuff they are selling. Tend to avoid niglon now.
