Hi all,

was just having a look through my book on inspection and testing by Chris Kitcher, and he states that there is no legal requirement to notify any work carried out in commercial or industrial buldings, only in the domestic sector.

Is this still the case ?? Surely you'd think it it would be more important in this situation where potentially hundreds or thousands of people could come into contact with your installation ???

Yep, no need to notify (AFAIK). Anyone can turn up and 'do' electrics in a commercial/industrial setting.

Part P only applies to domestic properties.

It does not apply to commercial or industrial, however, it gets a bit tricky if there is a flat above a shop which shares the supply.
