UK Not qualified to do EICR For the PRS scheme

I have been with Elecsa for fourteen years and have just been told I cannot go on the PRS scheme because I am not qualified to do an EICR. Anyone else with the same problem?

If you can test then you can do a Eicr.

Direct from Elecsa. Take a look at the PRS register no Elecsa members on there they are not qualified to do EICR

I dont believe there are any qualifications required to carry out EICRs . I thought you just have to show competence. Mind you 2391 may help show you have competence

What is the diffrance and testing circuits dead and live, none. Answer if you test then you are good to go.

Its all down to the letting agents if they insist on an electrician being on the list.

There is a big difference between being able to test circuits and carrying out EICR there's a lot more to an EICR such as the large amount if visual inspections
