I have a number of RCCBs and ELRs installed in my installation which have never been tested aside from pushing the TEST button. I would lke to carry out a more comprehensive test with respect to the pickup and timing delays. In absence of a conventional RCD tester, could I just use a normal secondary injection tester such as the ones used for protection relays? Are there any special points to take care of when using such tester, assuming I'm able to control the accuracy of my injection within the required mA?

IMO the only way I Know to get accurate timings is RCD Tester anything else may damage the rcd
