Hi Guys,

I need to replace my halogen security light fitting with one that is LED and also comes with PIR.
As this is a swap, am i allowed to do this myself based on current regulations?
If so can you recommend a good security light fitting with PIR? I have looked at a few online and went on the read the reviews whereby the issue surrounding some without dusk and dawn functions were highlighted.
Thanks.

easy enough job for DIY. recommend fitting by Diamond LED. a 30watt LED is close to 300watt halogen for comparison. you need some way of proving that the fitting has a good earth.

Thanks for your reply. Just to be clear, do you mean a good quality unit that is earthed? If so any links would be most appreciated.

Thanks once again. Is the test equipment a DIY option worth considering or is it now becoming a case of getting someone in?
