Looking for some business advice. Basically a "Self employed starter kit" things that you need to get to set up on your own, such as public liability insurance for example.
I have the usual qualifications such as level 3 2391, 18th edition, fire & emergency lighting, IPAF licence, ECS probably missing some but you get the idea.
What other things do I need to consider? for example if I want to sign off completed work & EICR's do I need to be registered with the NICEIC/NAPIT?
The relevant bodies that need to be informed for works such as mains board changes, ISITE (PA Testing) Fire & Emergency lighting reports etc...

I'd also like to know a little bit about Sub-contracting to other sparks &/or companies (I'm thinking this could be a viable option through slow periods?) Typically what's the rate of pay like for subbies (outside London)?

Inland revenue help with that they do courses. Often recommended when you open your business account.
