Discuss Smart meters... A couple of questions in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi ,if you are under eighteen, use the Meter,Wilko suggested.
If over eighteen, save on the cost of a meter...and just pay your folks entire bill,in lieu of any others :)

Don't bother with a smart meter until the new generation come out in the next couple of months. All the existing smart meters will have problems when changing supplier (will probably revert to being like a 'dumb' meter).
This is a known issue.
As has been stated get a sparky to fit a local meter for you.

How much power do you use in this shed ?
Does it have it's own dedicated power circuit and breaker/fuse ?
Or is it just hooked up to an existing power circuit in the house ?
Power use meters are readily available and not expensive.
But it all depends on what size you need.
Small you may be able to do yourself
But a larger one may require an electrician.
Please tell us more ?
