Hi,
My kitchen sockets keep tripping at the consumer unit, not immediately but after 20 minutes or so. The kitchen appliances plugged into this circuit comprise the fridge/freezer, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine and a portable TV. I have discovered that this circuit also includes a socket in the adjoining room which appears dead although it used to always work. Can anyone advise me of the next stage of what to do and what to check for. As I have eliminated each appliance by unplugging one by one, is it likely to be the dead socket that is causing the problem and needs replacing. Otherwise, I guess, it’s a matter of getting an electrician in to do an IR test etc.
Any help appreciated, many thanks in advance….
