There were 24 hour carers but even they had to leave the room from time to time. The job was a nightmare, we had to cut the power for a few minutes for something, that got him angry as the TV didn't work, so he threw a shoe at it and broke the LCD screen. o_O

I cleared a lot of insulation in an attic once to find a severed hand than nearly scared the clean sh** out of me. On closer inspection and after nearly having a heart attack I found it to be a very realistic plastic Halloween toy. I'e never felt so relieved

how it feels sometimes when doing an eicr.

..That's never happened to me...was part way through doing a job once when the customer - a bloke - wandered around the property in his underpants and nothing else! Added that to the job risk assessment I can tell you!
Twas gross - finished as quick as I could and left. Speaking to the guys' brother-in-law some time later he said he had a reputation for doing just that...and he'd told him not to do it!
Nowt so queer as folk - as they say!

Got called to a old couples place I have done bits and pieces for, called for over sink light not working.
The old dear lets me in, and the old boy shouts down 'is that George? send him up, I've just finished in the shower'
I start going up stairs, look up, and there is the 70ish year old man starkers at the top of the stairs waiting to show me the over sink light.

Age is just a number mate, 71 and the body of an Adonis, well it used to be

This story is not so much strange as in weird, but a pleasant strange.....had to do an EICR for an old lady who was selling her house. She asked if I'd like a cup of tea, so I said yes please and went to work. The tea was taking a while but eventually she shouts upstairs that it's ready, so I go down and she has set the table, made sandwiches, put out cakes and biscuits and a large pot of tea!

Aww bless her!
