So I have a light in my office that quit working, thought it was a bulb but turns out it wasn't. I've had a couple electricians out all who have started the wiring is messed up and they will need to bring in equipment to trace it and there is most likely a junction in the wall somewhere and I will have to cut into drywall to find it. I finally had a day off work today and started trouble shooting. turns out all the lines run to the bathroom behind the gfci. the gfci still works but there is zero power at the switch or the light. I test at the gfci across the screws and get a reading then I check the other set of screws and nothing. I just noticed now as wsell that the power from the panel is connected to the load side of the gfci and not the line.. So I want to make sure I wire this properly I have illustrated the 3 cables above which all merge in the bathroom. I have purchased a new gfci outlet. currently white and black from the panel go to the load side of the gfci switch, white from the switch is connected to black from the light, black from the switch was connected to the gfci, red was connected to the gfci and I presume that white from the light must of been as well. How should this get wired properly?
