Just wondering what advantage 'pulsed' generation meters might have over the non-pulsed ones (every £1 counts :))?

My understanding is that the pulsed meters allow monitoring / reporting devices to be retro-fitted to them but is that the only thing? If the pulsed meters were somehow more accurate or favourable for the customer then it's a no-brainer which to buy but otherwise I'm not so sure. Any thoughts chaps?

Cheers
