Using the Blue Regs Book

I am due to sit my 2391 in a few weeks or so.
I have been told I need the 18th Edition Amendment 2 (Brown Book) and Guidance Note 3 etc for the course days and exam. However recently having purchased GN3 and the Blue Regs book a year or so ago just before the Brown Book came out it seems pointless spending another £90 on an updated regs book.

Someone has told me you can add amendments to your current book by printing online. Is this true?

I'm afraid not. You'll need the full brown book and gn3.
It's part of the cost of being a sparky.

You could ask the training provider if they have any books they can loan out, just for the test??
But you will need one when you're working.

It's actually a bare copper book, it comes with a green and yellow sleeve...

While amendment one was virtually entirely EV charging points and you could print it out, amendment 2 has so many changes they haven’t offered this facility AFAIK.
It was just unfortunate timing, but you’re going to need it anyway and it should last a few years now (hopefully!)
