Hi all, it's been a while since I've been on, apologies. I am debating whether I need to replace the bonding to the gas meter. The meter is positioned outside and the bonding has been previously run as shown in the images. My first question is, is the weathering shown to the cable an issue? Second question and possibly answering my own question here, is the solution just to replace it and run it in conduit of some kind to provide both weather and mechanical protection?

Thanks

Bonding cables don't need to be insulated, other than for a short section at the end to identify them, and as long as they're 4mm2 or greater are deemed not to require 'protection'. Your cable is fine, although the fixings wouldn't hurt with improvement.
A short piece of properly fixed conduit might be a good way of achieving this.
